By isolating and identifying soil microbes, students are testing 抗生素增效剂—compounds that boost the effectiveness of existing antibiotics on these multidrug resistant pathogens. 这种动手研究让学生有机会为对抗抗生素耐药性的现实世界解决方案做出贡献，就在他们脚下的科罗拉多土壤里。
